All in the Family

I had the pleasure of doing a maternity shoot with Megan and CJ a couple weekends ago. At one point or another, we all had worked at St. Michael Hospital. I didn't know CJ at the time, but worked there at the same time as Megan. So, we were all part of the St. Michael Family!

This was such a fun shoot! Megan and CJ were definitely up for anything and were incredibly laid back about the process. I do have to throw out major props to Megan. I had this crazy idea about putting a pregnant woman in a tree and she totally rolled with it. Don't worry, she wasn't that far off the ground and in no way did I put her in harms way. But, the picture turned out great!

If Megan and CJ are at all nervous about their new arrival, they certainly didn't say it or show it! Congrats you two!

Gosh Dorn It!

A week or so ago, I had the fabulous opportunity to photograph the Dorn family. Meghan is one of my good friends and one of my bridesmaids in my upcoming wedding. We decided to shoot on location at her parent's beautiful home west of Milwaukee. Did I say beautiful home? Let me say it one more time, bea-u-ti-ful home. They also have a fantastic backyard and least I forget, a hot car in the driveway. Corvette...Love. =)

Bravo!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. Life has been a little bit busy with work, the house, photography, the house, photography. Life just keeps on going and I am certainly going along for the enjoyable ride.

During all of this busyiness I had the wonderful opportunity to take engagement pictures for Lindsay and La'Ron. Lindsay and La'Ron met at Bravo a couple years back and have been together ever since. They are super cute together and I had a lot of fun taking pictures with them. Check out their cuteness below!

What A Gem!

I'm smitten. I'm smitten with a little girl named Gemma. Gemma belongs to my college friend Greg and his wife, Rachel. When Greg contacted me to take pictures of his little girl he stated that he had the perfect subject for me. I was at first a little skeptical as she is pretty young and sometime little ones can be shy. Plus, this would be my first time meeting her. When I first walked into their home and saw her, I immediately asked Greg if I could pick her. Before he could answer, little sweet thing was running towards me with her arms wide open for a big hug. No shyness, only love. Sigh. Her wanting to be picked up and hugged by me was a reoccurring theme the entire afternoon and I couldn't have been happier. There is one image where she was actually starting to cry because I was taking pictures and not holding her. (Last Picture) Pretty funny and cute. AND she was a wonderful subject, full of fun and smiles.

Chase, My Heart

So, in my last entry I spoke of how I love, love, love pregnant women. Well, I also love babies too! I was lucky enough to be invited to Baby Chase's home to capture a few moments from his first month. He was so tiny and look so adorable wrapped in the white blanket. Can't wait to see how he grows!

Beautiful Bobbi

Let it be said that I love, love, love being around pregnant women. Not only do they glow wonderfully (despite nausea and wandering hormones) they just exude happiness and joy. It just makes me so happy! I can't wait for the day when I will be growing a baby of my own. Until then, I will bask in the glow of other mothers by photographing them.
A couple weekends ago, I had the opportunity to spend a nice Sunday afternoon with Bobbi. Bobbi had a wonderful disposition pre-baby and to see her during-baby was such a treat. We had such a lovely time and I am grateful she let me capture her glow. Take a look!
